Whitefield Academy scored nine runs in the fourth inning, en route to a 12-1 victory over Mount Pisgah Christian on Wednesday.

The Wolfpack (8-6, 6-5 Region 6A), who trailed 1-0 heading to the fourth, punctuated the win with three more runs in the seventh inning.

Ian Kennedy, Cole Long and Russell Bell each had a hit and drove in two. Davis Eaton added a hit and an RBI.

Braeden Swilley pitched three innings, allowing two hits, one run and striking out four for the win.

Whitefield Academy 4, Mount Pisgah Christian 1: The Lady Wolfpack swept the singles matches to help earn the Area 4A win.

Keri Quillian won 6-2, 6-0, Hannah Morris won 6-2, 6-1 and Sherina Thomas won 6-2, 6-2.

The doubles team of Kylie Weihe and Isabelle Jordan won 6-4, 6-2.

Whitefield will host Holy Innocents' on Monday.
