DEAR EDITOR:

I fully read the article your paper wrote about Carolyn Meadows. Most of it was nothing more than a personal cheering profile, which is fine. Her comment about Rep. McBath was easily the most telling though.

I take her quote, “But it is wrong to say like McBath said, that the reason she won was because of her anti-gun stance. That didn’t have anything to do with it — it had to do with being a minority female.” Mrs. Meadows really does have a disdain for the people of the 6th District. If she thinks that Rep. McBath won because she was either a minority (by the way, how bigoted is that viewpoint) or a female, she is horribly mistaken.

Maybe, just maybe, the voters of the 6th District are tired of being represented by people who don’t actually care about the majority of the district and only cared about kissing up to horrific lobbies like the NRA. Either way, what she said was insulting and speaks volumes about how awful the group she is president of has become.
