The League of Women Voters of Marietta-Cobb joins Leagues in all states in encouraging Qualified Citizens to vote.

Therefore, we strongly feel that our laws should reflect easy access to polling venues, expanded hours and access to mail-in ballots for all Qualified Citizens.

We therefore ask our fellow citizens to encourage their elected officials to only enact laws that protect voting rights for all.

Ms. Melville, since the GOP in the GA House and Senate don’t have the guts to stand up to Stacey Abrams, we need laws to try to enforce LEGAL voting. What happened in the last election in Georgia was a travesty, since there was no verification of signatures on ballots allowed. Yes, Ms. Melville, every QUALIFIED vote should count. But the only people voting by mail should be those persons with infirmities or those away from Georgia serving in the military. Everyone else should get off their blessed assurances and go stand in line, show a government ID and vote. It’s the American way.
