DEAR EDITOR:

In regards to the “demands” by La Gente de Cobb and Stronger Together toward the CCSD, July 6, 2020.

As a retired teacher of 38 years: 5,940 days and 59,550 hours of classroom experience, I have some concerning questions.

I would like the names and members of their groups and how many of their children attend Cobb County Schools?

I would love to see how many of them are willing to see the true picture of a classroom by attending an elementary, middle school, and high school classes of the counties toughest schools for 10 days in each school setting all day and experience firsthand all that it encompasses and not their hearsay ideas. Should this be a request or in their words a “demand?”

After a true, insightful picture of each school’s setting, let us revisit and discuss their demands.
