DEAR EDITOR:

I want to follow up the MDJ and also offer three heartfelt cheers to Sen. Johnny Isakson and all the other distinguished politicians on each side of the political aisle for coming together this week and passing bipartisan legislation to combat what is described as “illegal and intrusive robocalls.” That’s really great news for our country. Way to go, elected politicians! Bipartisanship is so wonderful — celebration time!

Currently, we are watching an unprecedented assault going on against our country at our southern border by illegal aliens, a massive amount of people trying to break into our country with wave after human wave literally storming our country’s borders. Criminal Mexican cartels flooding in heroin and fentanyl, which are killing our children as well as older Americans, human trafficking, terrorists slipping through the border, etc. This terrible and dangerous scene playing out in real time all at an estimated cost of billions and billions of dollars annually to our country and we have to be frankly insulted by seeing that the only thing our smart and wonderful elected politicians can attempt to solve is a low-level problem with robocalls!

No wonder the president (and I suspect many other millions of Americans) have just basically given up on them and the hope they might do their jobs and provide him positive help to solve the many serious problems facing our great country.
