DEAR EDITOR:

Democrat Rep. David Wilkerson reminded the GOP about how the best school board member in a generation, Democrat Alison Bartlett, lost her seat to gerrymandering.

Democrat Doug Stoner, the pride of Smyrna and the least partisan official in the state legislature could not be beaten in a fair fight. He was gerrymandered.

Republican Rich Golick, the Allstate lobbyist from Smyrna/Vinings, had the most gerrymandered district in Cobb but Democrat Erick Allen almost beat him. Golick got the state Legislature to gerrymander his district a little more. Allen got more votes in the next election. Golick asked for more gerrymandering and was told that there was no more gerrymandering left, so he quit.

East Cobb Republicans have been writing letters to the editor for years about needing term limits. Once in office, east Cobb republicans could not be removed, even by Republicans.

Cobb GOP chair Jason Shepherd is afraid that Democrat David Wilkerson will do to Republicans what they have done to Democrats. Only Republicans are capable of cheating like Republicans.
