DEAR EDITOR:

I may be the lone voice, however, the amount of dogs that are being permitted into public places such as stores, airplanes and now restaurants is getting out of control.

While on vacation in Florida we witnessed four dogs at one time after our meal was served. My other favorite is “comfort animals,” which allow pets into places that were previously not allowed. I have no issue with service dogs and support the idea, but many pet owners are now abusing the definition of comfort animals simply because they are not being truthful.

Pet owners, love your dogs but please leave them at home and don’t bring them into stores or other establishments that the rest of us frequent. What’s next, chimps, goats and pigs? Please be considerate of others.
