DEAR EDITOR:

I don’t believe Rev. Price posed the right question. It would have been more suitable to ask, “have you ever experienced racism?” Generally speaking, people don’t get offended by ignorance from learned behavior though some do. I have experienced both overt and subtle racism.

Also, it seems you are confusing individual behaviors with systems. There is doubt that there are respectful and accepting White people. No minority will have advancement without allies with those in the controlling power.

Personally, I am not concerned about reparations but equal access. However, there should be reparations given to surviving families who lost loved ones due to police violence.

Finally, we all need to do better at loving, respecting and accepting those within the LGBT community. It can stop teaching the foolish nonsense that LGBT is a sin. Their murders generally go unreported by mainstream media.
