Editor’s note: The final day to submit letters regarding next month’s primary election is June 1.

There are four questions on the Republican Primary ballot. One is phrased in a peculiar way. It in essence reads: Should only registered Republicans be allowed to vote in a Republican Primary?

The peculiar part is that we in Georgia do not register to vote by party. Why would a question be framed to ask if we should do something we are not required to do?

Of course the answer is to segregate the voters by party. To ensure a particular desired outcome. There are candidates on both sides that I might want to vote for or against. I would prefer a single primary with no party distinction, then take the top contenders. Think about the wording of the question. It is not a valid question.
