Dear Editor:

The MDJ ran a 9/16 story entitled “McBath updates constituents on legislative priorities.” In it she is quoted as saying ”We have the worst rate of maternal deaths in the developed world” and “this is absolutely unacceptable in the richest nation on earth.”

The question is whether there is hypocrisy in the Congresswoman’s concern for life. While her advocacy for maternal health is to be applauded and supported, she is also a Democrat and the Democrat Party supports abortion up to the moment of birth. Before she compared U.S. maternal deaths to other countries, perhaps she should have looked closer to home at the number of abortions in the U.S. Does she decry the thousands upon thousands of abortions performed annually as “unacceptable in the richest nation on earth?” Does she oppose the Georgia and Texas “heartbeat law” for the protection of the unborn? Her “constituent update” is conspicuously silent on this subject.

Congresswoman McBath, please be as forthcoming about your position on abortion as you are on maternal deaths. Do you or do you not support the Democrat Party’s position on abortion? it is a simple question.

The outrageous hypocrisy in McBath’s argument is the fact that of the estimated 65,000,000 abortions since Roe v. Wade, an estimated 20,000,000 are Black. That’s 30% of a population which makes up only 13% of the total population. How can she BE a Democrat? How can she vote for someone like herself?
