DEAR EDITOR:

It’s not often that I agree with Cobb BOC Chair Lisa Cupid. But her decision to not buckle under pressure from the Cobb Chamber over a zoning approval shows that for the first time in a long time, the BOC shall not be a tool and handmaiden to the Chamber.

Now she needs to deliver her annual State of the County address without being under the auspices of the Chamber. To do otherwise suggests a way-too cozy relationship with an entity not elected by the people. They need to learn that we the people, and not the Chamber, decides, either rightly or wrongly, who is to direct and guide county government.

But nobody is protesting Cupid’s right to make a decision. Forget who made the decision to approve it. Are the units in the APZ (Accident Protection Zone) for Dobbins or not?
