Ellen Louise Koepfinger Von Stein passed from this life and into glory on April 27, 2021. Ellen was born as an identical twin to Ted and Hannah Koepfinger on May 15, 1931. She was born in Coraopolis, Pennsylvania and grew up there as well. While in high school, she met Merle Von Stein who became the love of her life. They were married for forty-seven years prior to Merle preceding her in entering glory. During their marriage, they became the parents of Susan Scott (Allen), Nancy Tuttle (Garry), Kevin Von Stein (Melissa), and Cindy Mackey (Mike). Ellen is survived by her sisters Teddy Arthurs, Helen Goss (identical twin), Dolores Skopinski; her brother Ted Koepfinger; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Ellen was a member of Eastwood Baptist Church and was an avid gardener. Funeral services for Mrs. Von Stein will be held on Thursday, April 29, 2021 at Carmichael Funeral Home at 1130 Whitlock Avenue, Marietta, Georgia. There will be a visitation from 1:45 PM to 2:45 PM followed by a funeral service at 3:00 PM. Interment will follow the service at Midway Cemetery in Powder Springs. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Mrs. Von Stein's memory to Eastwood Baptist Church (Marietta) or to Palmer Home for Children in Columbus, Mississippi.
