Joshua Lawrence

Joshua Ronald Lawrence of Canton GA, age 31, passed away on Wednesday 7/14/21 after a hard-fought battle with cancer. He held in front of him his confirmation verse: 'Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid. Do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go. ' Joshua 1:9. He fought hard in order to have more time with his precious little girl, Lilah, who he absolutely adored. He fought with courage and grace, and he felt that through his struggle perhaps many would come to know Jesus and the Hope that is eternal - the mightiest calling there is. He is survived by his parents Thomas & Cindy Lawrence, his brothers Matthew and Andrew, his sisters Cassandra and Vanessa, his nieces Ava, Abigail, Oliva, his nephew Eli, his maternal grandparents Ed & Nancy Gornati and Glenn and Fran Johnstonbaugh, his daughter Lilah, and many other aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents James & Juanita Lawrence, twin brothers Jeremiah & Joshua, and his namesake Uncle Ronnie. Funeral Services will be held Sunday 6:00 PM at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home Chapel 1975 East-West Connector, Austell, GA 30106 with Tim Hanesworth officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday from 6:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home. If you prefer, the family will graciously accept a donation in lieu of flowers to the GoFundMe account: https://gofund.me/599570e2 (GoFundMe by Cindy Lawrence for Joshua Lawrence). He was an incredible loving and very funny son and grandson, a dedicated and loving father, a loyal brother, a devoted boyfriend, an Uncle, a nephew, a cousin, and a friend to many. Besides family and friends, he loved God, the USA, guns, baseball, football, basketball, his Chevy truck, the outdoors, the color blue and his true love - Hannah. The family welcomes you to dress casually and comfortably, in something that is in keeping with those things he loves. www.davisstruempf.com
