Jerry Reece of Villa Rica, Georgia passed away at the age of 69 on Sunday, April 28, 2019. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at 2 o'clock at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Macland Chapel in Powder Springs with Rev. Johnny Foster officiating & speaker Daniel Casteel. Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 25 years Cathy Reece; his seven children, Jennifer, Bobbie, Jerry, Jr. Brandon, Brian, Brad, and Breanna; brother, Larry (Phyllis) Reece of Winter Garden, Florida; uncles, Hubert Reece of Jacksonville, FL & Edward Reece of Mableton, GA; 19 grandchildren & 3 great-grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. Jerry was born in Austell, GA on August 13, 1949 to Elb & Florence Reece. He grew up in Powder Springs, GA attending Powder Springs Elementary & graduating from McEachern High School. Jerry enjoyed playing sports in his youth and not only played baseball throughout his childhood, but also played on his high school football team. He attended Chattahoochee Tech earning his certified HVAC Technician & worked in sales for over 40 years. Jerry was currently working at Citi Express in Marietta, GA. He was a loving husband and father who always provided for his family. Jerry's loving presence will be greatly missed. Jerry's family will receive visitors on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 between the hours of 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Macland Chapel in Powder Springs, GA. Family has asked in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the West Georgia Autism Foundation at PO Box 1562 Carrollton, GA 30112 or on their website at Arrangements under the caring guidance of Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home.
