Nancy Edwards

Nancy Radcliffe Edwards was born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania and grew up in Jackson, Mississippi with her brother, Terry, and sister, Susan. She attended the University of Mississippi where she met and fell in love with Julian ("Sandy") Edwards. Nancy and Sandy married after graduation. Nancy had a daughter, Alexis, and son, Barry. She loved her three grandsons, Walter, Peter, and Dylan, and her son-in-law, Greg Amaden. Nancy was a devoted mother and talented artist. She loved ink sketches and watercolor paintings. She started her own publishing company, The Paint Box Studio Press, and authored With Love from My Kitchen, an illustrated cookbook to be filled-in with family recipes. Over three million copies of her cookbook have been sold, but she didn't like to cook (sorry, mom, to let the family secret out). She did, however, like buying different flavors of ice cream for careful taste testing (mint chocolate chip usually won). She enjoyed shopping at Kroger and was her Kroger store's favorite customer, but she was not one to brag or flaunt her status. Friends and family knew not to call her during the Oprah Winfrey show. She loved living in a historic home in Marietta and seeing the Whitlock Inn set-up for parties. She enjoyed driving around Marietta to see the Square, neighbors' Christmas decorations, and the change of seasons. She was kind and brought joy to the world. To honor her memory, she'd want you to pick-up roadside litter because it spoils the view and keep testing different flavors of ice cream to help people know which ones taste best. She was a long-time member of the Marietta Metro Rotary Club and, in lieu of flowers, her family asks you to donate to the Marietta Metro Rotary Club's Foundation Fund. www.mayeswarddobbins.com 770 428-1511
