Dustin Paul Tomlin, 48, passed away suddenly but peacefully on August 25, 2018 in his home in Woodstock, Georgia.  Dustin’s life is best exemplified by the friendships he made during his short time on earth.  Known for his happy smile and unconditional love, he will be desperately missed, yet always remembered. Born June 8, 1970 in Smyrna, Georgia to Joel S. Tomlin and Anna (Young Tomlin) Festa-Wagener, Dustin graduated from Riverwood High School in Sandy Springs, GA in 1988. Dustin was preceded in death by his grandparents, Drs. George W. and Helen C. Young, Philip P. and AnnaBelle D. Tomlin; and his beloved aunts, Linda K. Young and Phyllis T. Haskins.  In addition to his parents, he is survived by his step-father, John H. Wagener of Woodstock, Georgia; his half-sister, Stephanie Tomlin of Kennesaw, Georgia; his step-brother, Gregory E. Festa (Jill) of Southington, Connecticut; his step-sisters, Lisa E. Wagener of Woodstock, Georgia and Tracey Wagener Morrow (Brad) of Carlsbad, California; and his aunt, Kristina T. Pritchett (Charles) of Mount Airy, Georgia, along with nieces, a nephew and many cherished cousins. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. officiated by Pastor John Dewberry, of Community Bible Fellowship Church at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home in Marietta.  The family will meet friends prior to the service beginning at 11:30 a.m.  Following the funeral service, Dustin will be laid to rest at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park.  In honor of Dustin’s love for children and sports, the family has requested donations to be made to Community Equipping Outreach c/o Community Bible Fellowship Church, 1500 Tara Place, P.O. Box 1074, Hampton, Georgia 30228.  Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home in Marietta, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
