Diane H. Quinn, age 79, died peacefully and surrounded by her family on June 9, 2019.
She was born on September 27, 1939 in Lewiston, ME, and was the daughter of Arsene "Sam" Sylvain and Vitaline "Vicky" Sylvain. She was predeceased by her only sister, Connie Kenny who passed away on June 1, 2019. She is survived by her 3 children who she always considered her greatest accomplishments: her son, Ronnie Desmarais and his wife Carol, her daughter Cindy Stevens and her husband, Craig, and her son, Daniel Jean and his wife, Alison. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren: Courtney Smith and her fiance Matt Tibbetts of Dallas, GA, Chase Stevens and his wife Amanda of Woodstock. GA, Caitlin Stevens of Dallas, GA, Zacheriah Desmarais and his wife Mary Katherine, of Dallas, GA, Brett Desmarais and his fiance Jennifer Guzman of Dallas, GA, Ryan Desmarais of Cherry Point, NC and Riley Jean of Atlanta, GA, Jeremy Desmarais and his wife Jasmine of Iwakuni, Japan, and Danielle Desmarais of Pasadena, CA. She was also Grammy to her 8 great grandchildren, Connor Smith, Cannon Smith, Chloe Smith, Jordan and Justin Desmarais, Caleb and Caden Desmarais and Jack Michael Desmarais. She is survived by one brother Larry Sylvain and his wife Jerrie of Nashua, NH, along with two special aunts and one uncle, Annette Cucchi, Florence Jean and Marcel Dominque. She was loved by a wealth of cousins and a multitude of friends. Diane loved her family so much and never missed an opportunity to spend time with them and to laugh with them. She was so very proud of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Diane made her home in Nashua, New Hampshire until moving to Marietta, GA in January of 1992. Diane loved life and always had a smile on her face. She lit up any room she walked into with her statuesque height, beauty and radiant smile. There will be visiting hours on Thursday June 13th with visitation from 4 pm - 6 pm and a service immediately following visitation at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home 3940 Macland Road Power Springs, GA.
