Fred Mortimer Conley passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on April 30, 2021. He was born October 13, 1935 in Gypsum, KS, and was preceded in death by his daughter, Denise Breece and great grandson, Kobe Shaw. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Ilene and his children, Lanette Shaw (Mark), David Conley (Beth), Sheri Woodruff (Mike), 11 grandchildren, and 2 great granddaughters. Grandpa will always be fondly remembered by his "pals". Fred was known for his great sense of humor and love of family. A graduate of Kansas State University, he retired after over 30 years with Lockheed as a Stress Engineer. He was a member of Smyrna First Baptist Church. Fred enjoyed hunting, golfing and coaching his children's sports teams. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Alzheimers Association (https://www.alz.org) or American Parkinson Disease Association (https://www.apdaparkinson.org). Services will be held in the sanctuary of Smyrna First Baptist Church on Sunday, May 23, 2021. Visitation at 1:00 and Memorial service at 2:30.
