A “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” star was arrested Tuesday and is facing multiple charges after allegedly assaulting an unidentified Griffin Middle School student, according to police.

Atasha Chizaah Jefferson, who goes by Tommie Lee on “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta,” reportedly assaulted the student — identified in a warrant taken out Tuesday by Smyrna Police only as a “juvenile under the age of 17” — about 1:15 p.m. Tuesday at Griffin Middle.

“Surveillance video showed the accused grab the victim by the back of the head and shoved her head first forcefully into a metal school locker, used her purse strap to strike the victim, grabbed the victim by the hair on the back of her head and forced her to walk down a hallway while continuing to grip the hair on the back of her (head) and slapped the left side of the victim’s head with her open palm,” stated the warrant.

The 34-year-old Jefferson faces two felony charges of cruelty to children in the first degree and aggravated assault, as well as four misdemeanors — three counts of simple battery and one count of disrupting operation of a public school.

Jefferson was “loud and boisterous,” according to the warrant, “screaming profanities” during the assault, “causing several members of the school faculty to exit their classrooms to see what was happening.”

The alleged incident occurred Tuesday during Cobb Schools’ elementary and middle school conference week, which releases middle school students early at 1:30 p.m. each afternoon.

The warrant was filed just after 7 p.m. Tuesday, and she was arrested just after 11 p.m., according to records from the Cobb County Adult Detention Center, which lists her as having a Smyrna address on Hickory Springs Drive, west of Old Concord Road.

Cobb Schools Police Chief Ron Storey referred questions to Smyrna Police when asked about the incident.

Sgt. Louis Defense, spokesperson for the Smyrna Police Department, said Wednesday afternoon he had not yet seen an incident report on the matter, but confirmed that the disrupting school charge involved a Cobb County School District site.

Defense declined to give specifics on the relationship between Jefferson and the juvenile.

Jefferson was out of jail Wednesday on a $27,720 bond, with jail records showing her released at 4:41 a.m. that morning.

VH1 describes “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” as following “the lives of the A’s hip-hop elite as they juggle their professional and personal lives, which often intersect and unravel in dramatic, unexpected ways for the whole world to see.”

The show, which debuted in 2012, is in its seventh season. Tommie Lee since 2016 has appeared in 53 of the show’s 126 episodes, according to imdb.com.
