That branch in the middle of the trail might not have been put there by the wind.

A pair of teens is behind bars after police said they laid branches on the Silver Comet Trail near Anderson Mill Road in Austell, then pulled guns and robbed a bicyclist who stopped to move it out of the way last month.

The suspects are Tyrone Jerome Vincent, 18, of Austell, and a juvenile, who was also arrested.

According to Vincent’s arrest warrant, the two made off with the victim’s iPhone. When confronted by the police, Vincent admitted to the crime and gave details of the incident not previously mentioned, police said.

Vincent was arrested Feb. 12 and faces charges of armed robbery. He is being held at the Cobb County Adult Detention Center without bond. Police did not provide the charges the juvenile suspect faces.
