Cobb Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a man suspected of fatally shooting a 25-year-old Jack Myles of Marietta Saturday evening near the intersection of Austell and Pat Mell roads.
Cordale Jefferson, 27, of Marietta is wanted on charges of homicide-murder and aggravated assault following an investigation into the shooting, according to Officer Sarah O’Hara, spokesperson for Cobb Police.
Police responded to a call about a person shot at about 6:22 p.m. Saturday and found Myles lying on the ground with gunshot wounds near Austell Road, O’Hara said.
Myles was taken to WellStar Kennestone Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries, O’Hara said.
Jefferson had not been arrested as of late Monday morning, O’Hara said, with video surveillance capturing his image just prior to the shooting. Cobb Police released both that image and his driver’s license photo Monday.
Jefferson is described as a black male, approximately 5-foot-5 with a medium build. Jefferson has multiple tattoos including “BADAZZ” on his forehead, two teardrop tattoos under his left eye and a money bag tattoo under his right eye.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Cobb County Police Department’s Crimes Against Persons Unit at 770-499-3945.
