A Paulding man accused of creating original child porn videos with at least two minors in the Cobb, Douglas and Paulding county areas has been arrested with the help of Homeland Security agents, according to the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office.

Thomas Joseph Cwik, 32, remains in custody at the Paulding County jail on a $33,200 bond. Cwik faces charges of sexual exploitation of children.

Paulding detectives from the sheriff’s office juvenile investigations division assisted investigators from the Department of Homeland Security in executing a federal search warrant on April 23 at a Paulding home at 23 Primrose Lane, according to Sgt. Ashley Henson, a spokeswoman for the sheriff’s office.

Henson said when investigators entered the home in southeast Paulding County, close to the Cobb and Douglas County lines, they found multiple images of child pornography and original pornographic videos featuring children on computers and other devices.

“As a result of what they found, Thomas Joseph Cwik ... was quickly taken into custody,” Henson said in a press release. “Detectives and agents believe Cwik may have molested and produced videos of a sexual nature with at least two different victims in the Paulding, Cobb, and Douglas County areas.”

Henson said anyone depicted in any of the materials found in Cwik’s home or anyone with information about Cwik should call the Paulding sheriff’s juvenile investigations division at 770-445-6105 or Homeland Security investigators at 404-346-2831.
