AUSTELL — On Tuesday, residents received free boxes of fresh produce at the Riverside Neighborhood Community Garden near the South Cobb Recreation Center. Food was sourced from the Metro Atlanta Urban Farm. The Austell Community Task Force helped distribute, with volunteers from the Cobb County Farm Bureau, Cobb County PARKS, Cobb-Douglas Public Health and the South Cobb Lions Club. Boxes included berries, broccoli, celery, cauliflower, cucumber, bell peppers, tomatoes, yellow squash, zucchini, carrots, lettuce and green cabbage.
