The Marietta Metro Rotary Club on June 3 honored two recipients with the City’s Hometown Heroes Award.

The awards are given out for exceptional heroism in the line of duty.

Lt. Tim Cameron of the Marietta Fire Department and Officer Chad Patterson of the Marietta Police Department were honored for their heroic service with their respective departments this year. Both Cameron and Patterson assisted with saving Marietta citizens from life threating injuries.

Nominations came from Station Cmdr. Christi Cronin with Marietta Fire and Maj. Steve Campisi with Marietta Police, who both commented on the extraordinary capabilities of their co-workers.
