The Cobb branch of the Division of Family and Children Services is moving to a new location next month.
The Georgia Department of Human Services announced that the Cobb DFCS office located at 325 Fairground St. will be moving to 1090 Northchase Parkway, with the new office opening on Tuesday, Feb. 14 at 9 a.m.
The move of the Cobb DFCS office will bring the division’s new location eastward by about a 10-minute drive, on the opposite side of I-75.

The Fairground Street office will close for good on Friday, Feb. 10.
According to the announcement from Georgia DHS, the Cobb DFCS branch sees walk-in customers Tuesday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will continue those hours at its new location.
The new Cobb DFCS office will house staff who provide economic assistance and child welfare services to over 100,000 families in the county, Georgia DHS said.
