The WellStar Foundation hosted the 25th Annual WellStar Golf Classic at Marietta Country Club on Aug. 28.

The event, title sponsored by HRGi, raised $223,000, a record-setting amount that will be used to advance emergency and trauma services at WellStar Health System.

“I look forward to the Golf Classic each year, but this commemorative event was even more meaningful because of the critical mission and special activities, including a silent auction and raffle,” said Carole Kell, WellStar Foundation Board of Trustees chair. “It was a great day on the greens with WellStar supporters, as we all did our part in advancing vital healthcare services across Georgia.”

S.A. White Oil Company supported the event as presenting sponsor. Bunker sponsors included – Art Plumbing Company; C.L. Burks Construction; DHG Healthcare; Hollis Cobb Associates; Inglett & Stubbs Inc.; JE Dunn Construction; Medline Industries Inc.; MembersFirst Credit Union; MetroAtlanta Ambulance Service; Parker, Hudson, Rainer & Dobbs LLP; Randall Paulson; and Witt/Kieffer.

As a not-for-profit health system, funds raised through WellStar Foundation events support WellStar’s vision of delivering world-class healthcare. WellStar Golf Classic contributions will expand access to emergency and trauma care, and secure resources used to treat critical injuries 24-hours a day, seven days a week. WellStar treats more emergency and trauma patients than any other health system in Georgia.
