The Battery Atlanta recently announced its holiday attractions for the month of December, with free Santa visits at the SunTrust onUp Experience, New Year’s Eve festivities and a new nightly Holiday Light Show.

“The holidays are in full swing at The Battery Atlanta,” said Jeremy Strife, senior vice president and general manager of The Battery Atlanta. “From the new Holiday Light Show to New Year’s Eve festivities, we have something for the whole family this December.”

Santa has arrived at the SunTrust onUp Experience, with visits Thursdays through Sundays and Christmas Eve. All Santa visits are free and include digital and printed photos. Among the special visits planned this month are Santa Paws Night for four-legged family members on Dec. 16.

The Holiday Light Show presented by Georgia Lottery is a new addition this season. Now through Christmas Day, guests can experience an immersive sound and light display throughout the Plaza every hour each evening from 6 to 9 p.m. With a variety of soundtracks, each show will offer something different.

The annual Atlanta Santa Crawl is returning to The Battery Atlanta this year. Participants are encouraged to wear holiday themed attire for the family-friendly tradition. The U.S. Marines will be onsite outside of Sports and Social collecting donations for Toys for Tots Drive. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit bit.ly/2018SantaCrawl.

On Dec. 15, the holiday-themed 5K Jingle Bell Run will be hosted at The Battery Atlanta, with 100 percent of registration fees and fundraising efforts benefiting the Arthritis Foundation. Registration is available at bit.ly/2018JingleBellRun.

The Battery Atlanta will send 2018 out in style with the second consecutive New Year’s Eve Bash presented by Xfinity, featuring an early countdown geared towards families and a late-night show leading into midnight. Braves in-game host Mark Owens will emcee the evening of programming. The early innings, for those wishing to ring in the New Year early, will start at 6 p.m. in the Plaza. The Heavy Hitters and BLOOPER will be on hand as well as performances by Fear No Ice, a high-energy chainsaw ice sculpture artist and entertainer James Maltman. An inflatable baseball will drop at 8 p.m. The late innings festivities start at 9 p.m., with the 12South Band providing the entertainment from the Georgia Power Pavilion Stage. The midnight countdown will include pyrotechnics and 2019 will begin with a confetti and aerial fireworks display.

The Omni Hotel at The Battery Atlanta is also offering a special VIP experience for New Year’s Eve. Guests can enjoy music by Atlanta’s Contagious Band, a live DJ, hors d’oeuvres and a reception-style buffet, in addition to beer, wine, a signature cocktail and party favors in the Battery Ballroom. At midnight, there will be a firework display from the rooftop pool. Tickets are available now for $150 each and can be purchased at bit.ly/OmniNYE.

Free parking is available in the Red, Green and Purple Decks for four hours on non-event days at The Coca-Cola Roxy.
