Loving Arms Cancer Outreach held a ribbon-cutting and open house at their new location inside of the Mansour Center. 995 Roswell St. NE, Suite 100, Marietta (just down from the Big Chicken). Some 60 supporters attended the event, including guests, clients, volunteers, sponsors and board members.
While keeping the rain at bay, Shay Traylor, President and Co-founder of Loving Arms, kicked off the event at the front door of the Mansour Center. “What an awesome evening,” she said. “Thank you for coming out tonight, to support us, for our open house and ribbon-cutting. The love and support I feel is overwhelming. God bless you all for making this night possible.” Shay closed her opening remarks with a prayer.
Janet Graham, Director of Operations said, “We are humbled by the turnout for our open house and ribbon-cutting. To have this many people come see our new home and support our mission is wonderful. Thank you Georgia State Senator Kay Kirkpatrick for your support and for helping us cut the ribbon christening our new home. Special thanks to The Marietta Local for the delicious food and BrightStar Care of Marietta for the refreshments. We love our new location and all the wonderful people God has brought to this organization. We truly could not do all we do for the community without you.”
Shirley Mensching, a cancer survivor, said: “An inspiring evening at Loving Arms Cancer Outreach. Shay and the entire Loving Arms team are such a blessing to our community. Thanks for the love and support given to all.”
Loving Arms Cancer Outreach is funded by sponsors, donations and fundraisers. Mark your calendar for this year’s 6th Annual “Dancing with the Stars for Loving Arms” on Saturday, September 7 at The Renaissance Atlanta Waverly Hotel and Convention Center. Much like the network show, teams entertain the audience with performances they have practiced for months. Local community leaders volunteer to be a star for the night by learning to dance with professional dance instructors from studios throughout Metro-Atlanta.
