Ladybugs are a familiar sight in Southeastern gardens and are often known to bring good luck to those who find them.

To celebrate these red and black bugs, Pike Nurseries, which has four Cobb County locations, is hosting its annual Ladybug Weekend from April 26-28 at all store locations.

Throughout the weekend, the garden center will give away over four million free ladybugs to provide customers with a little ladybug luck in their gardens. Participants will receive one 150-count packet per family with purchase, while supplies last. There will also be a free Beneficial Bugs class April 27 at 9 a.m. at all stores to educate participants on how to best utilize helpful insects in the garden.

Participants can enter to win one of five $50 Pike Nurseries gift card by posting photos of their released ladybugs or their costumed two-legged variety on Instagram with the hashtag #pikeladybugs through April 29.

The Cobb County locations for Pike Nurseries are 3602 Cobb Parkway in Acworth; 1875 Roswell Road in Marietta; 3431 Barrett Parkway Northwest in west Cobb; and 2900 Johnson Ferry Road in east Cobb.
