MARIETTA — Dancers with Marietta’s own Georgia Metropolitan Dance Theatre will be flying on March 24-26 in their brand-new spring production of Peter Pan.
Just think of happy things and come fly away to Neverland with GMDT’s take on Peter Pan, the classic story by J.M. Barrie. Join Tinkerbell, Peter and the Darling children on their magical journey where adventure lurks around every corner —but beware, Captain Hook and his motley crew of pirates are on the prowl for revenge.
GMDT’s season capstone ballet will feature whimsical choreography, imaginative costumes and even dancers flying on stage. The dance company encourages the community to attend this action-packed, family-friendly ballet that is directed and staged by GMDT Associate Artistic Director Gray Stoner.
Shows are March 24-25 at 7:30 p.m. and March 26 at 2 p.m. at the Jennie T. Anderson Theatre in Marietta. Tickets start at $20 and are available through georgiametrodance.org/tickets.
GMDT is comprised of more than 120 students ranging in age from seven years-old to graduating high school seniors who train at the Georgia Dance Conservatory on Marietta Square.
