Fifth Third Bank Broadway in Atlanta recently announced on social media that the stage musical sensation “Hamilton” will return to Atlanta for the 2019-20 season.

Composer, lyricist, playwright and actor Lin-Manuel Miranda’s “Hamilton” tells the story of Founding Father Alexander Hamilton through song and rap. It debuted in 2015, quickly transitioned to Broadway and won numerous Tony Awards, including Best Musical. It also took home a Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album and won the 2016 Pulitzer Prize for Drama.

The highly-anticipated touring production had an extensive run at the Fox Theatre of 18 shows from May 22 through June 10. The news that “Hamilton” will thrill audiences once more on the historic Atlanta stage came one day after the show concluded its stay.

No further information about the encore run is available at this time, but fans can post their response to the news at www.instagram.com/p/Bj4zeRWHGKm/?taken-by=broadwayatlanta.
