Celebrate the stars and stripes at Coca-Cola July 4th Fest at Six Flags Over Georgia. This ultimate Independence Day celebration begins today, July 3, through July 6. GO!

“At Six Flags Over Georgia, we’re celebrating the nation’s independence in a big way. From July third through the sixth, Six Flags will host a huge Independence Day celebration with fireworks every night,” said Divina Mims, communications manager at Six Flags Over Georgia.

Coca-Cola July 4th Fest features a flag-waving good time with exclusive ride times, dazzling fireworks all five nights, festive foods and more.

“It’s an American tradition for families to gather at theme parks in the summer. At Six Flags Over Georgia, we have a thrill for every age level. It’s about making memories and creating some really fun experiences,” Mims said.

Gain access to exclusive ride times and attractions one hour before the park opens, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., by bringing an unopened, unused can of Coca-Cola to the park. Get $15 off gate admission at Six Flags or White Water as well when you bring a can.

“We will partner with a local military group that honors veterans and we will donate all of those Coke products that people bring with them. It’s just a way to say thank you. It allows them to keep those (military) folks refreshed. It’s just a small token of our thanks for everything they’ve done for our country,” Mims said.

Six Flags Over Georgia offers a Hurricane Harbor Park VIP experience that provides ticket holders with special privileges like extended hours and an all-you-can-eat buffet.

“We have a spot in Hurricane Harbor, which is the best place to view fireworks. If you are into fireworks, they will be right over top of you — some state-of-the-art, world-class fireworks. We have all the fixings that are part of the Hurricane Harbor VIP experience. There’s hot dogs, hamburgers, veggie burgers, all the sides, chips and drinks — that all comes as part of that experience as well,” Mims said.

The fun will bubble up all day long at the Dare Devil Dive stage with foam parties. “Our foam parties have become extremely popular. We have four parties every day from July 3 through July 6. It’s a 30-minute party where folks can jump around in the foam. It’s a cool way to cool off. There is live music. If you have never experienced one, now is the time. It’s really fun. The kids love it,” Mims said.

Six Flags Over Georgia also has games and activities sponsored by Coca-Cola from the time the park opens until 6 p.m., like a huge shade mist tent for cooling off, photo opportunities, coke samplings and more.

Today, before the fireworks display, Six Flags will try to set the record for the most people participating in a Coke toast in a theme park. “We will pass out mini cans of Coke. We will all link arms and create the largest group of people linking arms, enjoying a Coke toast for 4th of July in a theme park. It will be fun,” Mims said.
