Walton High School’s SkillsUSA team has once again produced a State Champion.

Rosie Nguyen won the 2019 Georgia SkillsUSA Championship in Graphic Communications and qualifies to compete in the National Championships in Louisville, Kentucky this summer. Nguyen is a junior and active in the Walton Graphic Arts Program, under the direction of Dan Campagna, teacher and club advisor.

Leading the team to the State Championships this year was Walton High School’s SkillsUSA president James Siad, the 2018 Georgia SkillsUSA State Champion in Advertising Design — who advanced to the National Championships last year.

Also competing at the State Championships, after having placed at the top of the Regional Competition, were Nick Lobb and Aryan Chaudhary.

SkillsUSA is a national membership association serving high school, college and middle school students who are preparing for careers in trade, technical and skilled service occupations, and for further education.
