The Citizens of Georgia Power – Metro West chapter held their 6th annual Bowling for Scholars event on Aug. 10 at Bowlero Marietta, 2749 Delk Road in Marietta.

The event was in support of Communities In Schools of Marietta/Cobb County. More than 40 Georgia Power employees put on their bowling shoes to support student dropout prevention programs and to help increase graduation rates in Georgia.

Citizens of Georgia Power is the employee volunteer arm of Georgia Power Company. With 42 chapters statewide and more than 3,400 members, consisting of employees and their spouses, volunteers contributed more than 143,000 hours equal to $3.5 million in 2018.
