Marietta City Schools students and parents are invited to discover the unique STEM opportunities available at the Engineering Pipeline Open House, hosted at Marietta High School’s Performing Arts Center on Sept. 7 at 6 p.m.

The Engineering Pipeline is a collaborative partnership between Marietta High School’s Pre-Engineering Program, middle grade schools and elementary schools. The Engineering Pipeline partners will share information about various opportunities for students to explore engineering and architecture.

Learning programs include:

♦ The Society for Pre-Engineering — Technology Student Association

♦ Haiti Container Building Project — Design Squads Global

♦ Lockheed-Martin STEM Mentoring Program — Lemelson-MIT InvenTeamJV

♦ Engineering and Architecture Research Laboratory for Sustainability (EARLS Lab)

♦ American Society of Civil Engineers — Civil Engineers Club

♦ Atlanta Center for Creative Inquiry Academy Program

♦ Georgia Tech STEP Program (Research Internship)

♦ Summer Math and Science Honors Academy

The keynote speaker for the Open House will be architect, artist, author and mentor Oscar Harris, FAIA (Fellow of the American Institute of Architects.)
