KENNESAW — After 5 months of facility renovations, Mt. Elizabeth Academy, a faith-based, Christian child care and preschool, will be opening its doors July 31 in Kennesaw.
The academy’s owners and operators, professional educators Rob and Ann Godley, have more than 25 years of global education leadership experience. Their background makes them qualified to write, design and implement a contemporary, play-based curriculum for families in Cobb.
Mt. Elizabeth is open for children age 6 weeks to 5 years. In addition, it offers an afterschool program for children up to age 12. Its facility has 12,000 square feet of classrooms and instructional space, a dedicated library, an indoor gym/theater and over 20,000 square feet of outdoor playgrounds in a park-like setting. Activities and organic catered food are included in the tuition.
“Based on our global experiences, we believe in teaching our children how to live a sustainable life,” said Mt. Elizabeth Academy Co-Owner and Director, Ann Godley. “As such, we combine aspects of recycling, organic gardening, composting and nature into our program. Jane Goodall said it best when she told us to, ‘Leave softer footprints.’ As we incorporate faith, global understanding, environmental care and a passion for learning, we are able offer a unique, family run program for families who want something special for their kids.”
