East Cobb families took advantage of recent reopenings of county playgrounds, heading to East Cobb Park  on Tuesday to burn off the excess energy their children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews had built up being cooped up inside. County officials say the playgrounds and park bathrooms in unincorporated Cobb County reopened Monday, after being closed since March 23, due to concerns over the spread of COVID-19. Parks and their facilities also closed on that date, but were opened on a phased-in basis. Playgrounds and bathrooms are some of the final park facilities to reopen. Aquatic centers have also reopened, while arts facilities and event centers remain closed.
