Cobb-based Delta Community Credit Union recently awarded $7,000 to a Cobb-based non-profit which provides social support for Latino families and children living in Cobb, Cherokee, Dekalb, Fulton, Gwinnett and Hall counties.

In a ceremony at Delta Community’s Vinings Branch, Credit Union COO Matthew Shepherd awarded the grant to Ser Familia Inc. The money will be used to support Spanish-language mental health counseling for Latino youth.

Ser Familia is Georgia’s leading comprehensive, culturally-proficient, multidisciplinary family social and mental health services program for Latino families. It provides training in communications, wise decision-making, and navigating life in a dual culture.
