A Powder Springs man was facing life-threatening injuries Wednesday after police said his motorcycle struck a car on Veterans Memorial Highway at James Road.

Richard Pack, 39, was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital following the crash that occurred at about 10:27 a.m., according to Cobb Police. Authorities said a blue 2007 Ford Crown Victoria was traveling north on James Road toward Veterans Memorial Highway and, after stopping at a stop sign, entered Veterans Memorial in the path of Pack’s black 2015 Harley-Davidson FLTRXS.

The front of the Harley-Davidson collided with the front left side of the Ford, according to Officer Neil Penirelli, a Cobb Police spokesman.

The crash remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Cobb County Police Department at 770-499-3987.
