MABLETON — Children received free books Thursday afternoon at the South Cobb Regional Library, thanks to Learning Spaces, a program funded by United Way of Greater Atlanta. The book at the Learning Spaces literacy pop-up, "Building a House," came with a bag from the library with gifts and activities, like crafts and a "Be My Neighbor" bingo game of good deeds. Before the pandemic, Learning Spaces held interactive events with readings and themed activities to promote literacy.

The next literacy pop-up is scheduled for 2:30-4:30 p.m. March 18. Public access to the South Cobb Regional Library is closed due to coronavirus precautions. For more information on the South Cobb library programs and resources, visit or call 678-398-5828.
