The man suspected of fatally shooting a Marietta man Saturday evening near the intersection of Austell and Pat Mell roads has turned himself in, Cobb County Police said.

The suspect is 27-year-old Cordale Jefferson of Marietta. Police wanted him in connection with the death of 25-year-old Jack Myles.

After responding to a call about a person shot Saturday evening, officers found Myles lying on the ground with gunshot wounds near Austell Road. He was taken to the hospital but later died from his injuries.

According to records from the sheriff’s department, Jefferson turned himself in around noon on Tuesday. He faces felony charges of murder and aggravated assault, according to jail records.
