About 150 peaceful protesters marched from Laurel Park, down Whitlock Avenue and onto Marietta Square on Monday, holding signs mourning the death of black men killed by police, many referring to the recent death of George Floyd.

When I see this from my community, I see people who want change. Peaceful protesting leaves a greater impact.

Some of the protesters were hesitant to show up due to a fear of violence. Wal-Mart and a local bank near the Square actually shut down operations for today after news of the protests on the Square. TT

My granddaughter and her friend marched Monday and someone came up to them at the end and thanked them and handed each $20.
