Paulding Superintendent Brian Otott has realigned the school district's top administrative staff to include a new chief operations officer.
The school district hired Marietta City Schools Chief Operations Officer Erick Hofstetter to hold the same position in the Paulding County School District, Otott recently announced
Hofstetter will oversee Paulding's district-wide operations, including Transportation, Nutrition, Maintenance, Construction and Safety. He is set to begin his new position July 1.
In addition, Chief Human Resources Officer Clark Maggart was named Associate Superintendent and will oversee elementary, middle and high school operations.
Assistant Superintendent of Operations Susan Browning was named Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning.
Dee Carol White transitioned from Director of Title I to Executive Director of Human Resources.
Otott said, "The recent personnel moves should help align roles and responsibilities a little more clearly and, ultimately, I think it will help us to provide even better service to our schools, our community, and the students of Paulding County.
“We are looking forward to the addition of Mr. Hofstetter as chief operations officer. He comes to us from Marietta City Schools where he has done a great job in a similar capacity," Otott said.
The moves follow the retirement of Associate Superintendent Bonnie Cochran in April. However, it realigns the current administrative positions and does not add any new positions, a board member said.
Other recent administrative changes included:
• Executive Director for Elementary Schools Jason Gregaydis was named to fill the vacant Executive Director of School Improvement position.
• Northside Elementary School Principal Tiffany Frachiseur was named Executive Director for Elementary Schools.
• Northside Assistant Principal Susan Woodham was named principal to replace Frachiseur.
