Paulding residents recently graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas:

• U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Keegan O. Flewallen is a 2018 graduate of East Paulding High School. He is the son of Hal and Amanda Flewallen of Dallas.

• U.S. Air Force Airman Christopher A. Bradley is a 2017 graduate of Hiram High School. He is the son of Eric J. Bradley of Hiram and Theresa H. Bradley of Haubstad, Indiana, and stepson of Selina K. Bradley of Hiram.

• U.S. Air Force Airman Jacob C. Guidry is the son of Janice F. and Jeff C. Guidry and brother of Jeffrey C. Guidry and Jared C. Guidry, all of Powder Springs. He is a 2017 graduate of Hiram High School.

The airmen completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

In addition, 58 graduating cadets were awarded commissions as second lieutenants in the U.S. Army or Georgia National Guard in ceremonies May 3 at the University of North Georgia in Dahlonega.

The new officers included Matthew E. Ilao of Dallas, who will serve in the National Guard Army Nurse Corps.
