Robert Ratonyi, a child survivor of the Jewish Holocaust, will be the guest speaker at the Atlanta World War ll Roundtable’s monthly luncheon meeting March 21 at Dunwoody United Methodist Church, 1548 Mount Vernon Road in Dunwoody. The public is invited to attend.
Ratonyi, who was born in Budapest, Hungary, later became a Massachusetts Institute of Technology engineering degree graduate and a business executive in Atlanta. He was only 6 when he was forced to wear a yellow star (to identify himself as Jewish) and face the terrors of war and ghetto life without his parents, both of whom were deported.
The meeting will start at 11 a.m., and lunch is served at 11:30 a.m. and includes a salad bar, entree with sides, dessert and beverage. The price for the entire program is $20 per person and $35 per couple. RSVP is required so the church has enough food for everyone.
