Hampton has added a name to the candidates vying for its four at-large city council seats.

In addition to the six previously announced, restaurant chain district manager Edward T. Spencer has thrown his hat into the ring.

Locust Grove candidates make six with those previously announced for the three city council seats plus incumbent Sammy Brown and real estate agent Rudy Breedlove.

McDonough incumbents Mayor Billy Copeland, at-large City Councilman Roger Pruitt, District 1 City Councilman Rufus Stewart and District 2 City Councilwoman Sandra Vincent all reupped.

Stockbridge Mayor Judy Neal will try to keep the seat she won in a special election filling a vacancy through Dec. 31.

For city council, insurance agent Cherice Hollis and former City Councilman Alphonso Thomas have applied for the two available seats.

Qualifying ends Aug. 25.
