Resurgens Spine Center, the largest spine specialty center in the state, welcomes Dr. Uzondu Agochukwu to Resurgens Orthopaedics’ McDonough location at 105 Regency Park Drive.

“The addition of Dr. Agochukwu makes Resurgens Spine Center even more equipped to serve all patients experiencing neck and back pain throughout metro Atlanta,” Dr. Thomas Dopson, center co-medical director, said in a statement. “He’s been trained in the latest nonsurgical and surgical techniques, including minimally invasive spine surgery and total disc replacement.”

Born and raised in New Orleans, Agochukwu earned his medical degree from Indiana University and completed his residency at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington.

He completed his spine fellowship at Augusta University Health in Augusta and is board-certified.

According to a news release, his areas of expertise are reconstructive spine surgery, cervical spine surgery, minimal invasive spine surgery, lumbar spine surgery, total disc arthroplasty, hip arthroscopy, sports medicine and general orthopedics.

“I work with my patients to create a focused treatment plan based on their individual needs and provide the highest level of care,” Agochukwu said in a statement. “From day one, my goal is to help my patient understand their diagnosis, treatment options, and begin the journey together towards healing.”
