Riverwood International Charter School in Sandy Springs recently sent 20 culinary arts students to the Springer Mountain Farms Southern Wing Showdown at The Fairmont in west Midtown, where they assisted 30 chefs from top restaurants across the Southeast. The students, all juniors and seniors, were paired with chefs to provide help with plating, cooking and other culinary duties. The Southern Wing Showdown, produced by the Taste of Atlanta, raised funds and awareness for two charities: Angel Flight Soars and Second Helpings Atlanta.
