Poppy’s of Atlanta, a Buckhead women’s clothing boutique, recently treated current and past Atlanta Speech School families to a celebratory night of philanthropic shopping, donating 20% of the proceeds to the school’s annual Language & Literacy Gala. The event, set for Nov. 17 at the Atlanta History Center in Buckhead, is the school’s largest financial aid fundraiser. The gala will also celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Atlanta Speech School Guild, the school’s volunteer and fundraising arm. All gala proceeds support the school’s need-based financial aid program. For information about gala patron or corporate sponsorship opportunities, auction donations or to purchase tickets, contact Stephanie Johnson at sfjohnson83@gmail.com or 770-490-9558 or visit atlantaspeechschool.org/gala.
