My name is John and I have lived in the same house in (Sandy Springs) for nearly 30 years, and state Republicans have admitted that they gerrymandered my district to make it extremely difficult for a Democrat to win.

The (U.S.) Supreme Court just legalized partisan gerrymandering. This means that we the people have to take gerrymandering reform into our own hands.

In 2018, four states passed citizen ballot measures to end gerrymandering. This shows a growing movement to make sure that we create district lines which are nonpartisan.

Here in Georgia, we can make a change. We can pass reforms that create independent commissions to draw lines for 2021, and we need our legislators to move on that immediately.
